These terms govern your use of illi, a browser extension for gestural video speed controls. By installing or using illi, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use illi.
illi is a Chrome browser extension that adds gesture-based playback speed controls to YouTube. The service includes the extension itself and, for paid subscribers, cloud-based features such as cross-device sync and account management.
illi modifies the YouTube viewing experience within your browser. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube or Google.
To use illi, you must create an account using your email address. Authentication uses one-time passcodes sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.
One account per person. Do not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access to all features. No payment information is required during the trial.
If your trial expires and you used illi fewer than 20 times, you may be eligible for a one-time 7-day trial restart. This is offered at our discretion when you next attempt to use illi.
When your trial ends without a subscription, illi's features become inactive. Your local data (bookmarks, preferences, channel speeds) remains on your device.
illi offers the following paid plans:
Current pricing is displayed in the extension and on illi.world. We may change pricing for new subscribers at any time; existing subscribers keep their current rate until they cancel.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from the illi extension. After cancellation:
The Founders plan price is locked for as long as your subscription remains active and continuously paid. If you cancel a Founders subscription, the locked price is permanently forfeited. Resubscribing after cancellation will be at the standard price available at that time.
illi offers a free trial so you can evaluate the product before paying. Because of this, we do not offer refunds. If you experience a billing error, contact us and we will resolve it.
Paid subscribers may sync bookmarks, preferences, channel gesture settings, and resume positions across devices. This data is stored on our servers (hosted by Supabase) while your subscription is active.
We take reasonable measures to protect synced data, but we do not guarantee that synced data will never be lost, corrupted, or temporarily unavailable. You should not rely on cloud sync as your sole backup for any data. We are not liable for data loss resulting from service interruptions, technical failures, or account termination.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
illi, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Wallflower Studio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for its intended purpose.
You retain ownership of any data you create within illi (bookmarks, preferences, settings).
illi integrates with third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Sentry, Postmark) to operate. Your use of illi is also subject to the terms of these services where applicable. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.
YouTube is a third-party platform. Changes to YouTube's interface, policies, or APIs may affect illi's functionality. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation on YouTube or any other platform.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of illi at any time. We aim to communicate significant changes in advance, but are not obligated to do so for minor updates or bug fixes.
illi is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee specific uptime for the extension or its cloud services.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wallflower Studio, its owner, and its agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of illi or violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of illi will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 15.
Upon termination:
We may update these terms as illi evolves. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the extension or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of illi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
